Hey! I’m Rax.
This blog is my return to storytelling.
I’ll be sharing what I’m learning and thinking about so I can memorialize the fun and self-discovery I’ve allocated this chapter of my life for. I’m going to post about my life in recovery, but I’m also going to post some musings about queerness, tech, anarchy, whatever. Some topics I’m considering:
What I’ve been learning about gendered nouns/verbs in French from my trans francophone friends, along with some amazing French queer poetry.
Why I think decriminalizing sex work will help us in the fight against toxic AI, as a challenge to the loneliness and lack of intimacy leading people to date bots.
Reflections on if being polyamorous for the majority of my 15 years of dating is something I want to carry into my 30s.
The fascinating diaspora history of Tamil people in France, which has given me great delight after 7 years in NYC where I don’t share language or culture with most of the South Asian community.
Sometimes I write about those topics as a real journalist too.
Some posts will be more personal, some less. There’s a lot that feels brand new, and a lot that’s on my mind. For some more context on “this chapter in my life,” I think it’s worth checking out my first issue.
